GREAT LAKES
WOMEN LEADERSHIP
INITIATIVE
LE PROJET
Great Lakes Women Leadership Initiative (GLWLI) is a program initiated by Nkelo Bantu and Sodeico Academy with the aim of improving the socio-economic conditions of women in the countries of the Great Lakes region. Indeed, women are often in the minority in positions of power and decision-making, and their representation in crucial sectors is still low. Launched in April 2022 in Kinshasa, the GLWLI program aims to fill this gap by giving women the means to become leaders in society, through various capacity-building activities and close support in the form of mentoring and coaching to equip them to achieve their goals.
- Reinforce the capacities of Congolese women in the key sectors of the corporate and entrepreneurial world,
- Reinforce Congolese legislation on gender equality through its dissemination,
- Prepare tomorrow's class of female leaders for employability and empowerment through mentoring programs.
- Support the formalization, optimization and sustainability of women's activities,
